The past years we have reviewed various bone conduction devices, ranging from bone conduction headphones over bone conduction sunglasses to bone conduction bike helmets. We have also seen many new players coming onto the market but we have also experienced that quantity doesn’t automatically mean quality. To guide you through the bone conduction jungle we are going to focus on one of the most important sales platforms of the world; ‘Amazon’. Most of the current bone conduction headphones are for sale on Amazon, so let’s see which are currently the best bone conduction headphones on Amazon.
Best bone conduction headphones on Amazon: the AfterShokz Trekz Air
Our favourite bone conduction headphones are without doubt the AfterShokz Trekz Air. The Trekz Air is the top model of the most well-known bone conduction brand in the world; AfterShokz. These headphones are a great example of what high quality can be reached by using bone conduction if you spend a lot of time, money and research on the design and development of a product and technology. The AfterShokz Trekz Air are bone conduction headphones which are extremely comfortable and produce a high-quality sound. The quality of sound isn’t fully comparable yet with top brand classic in-ear headphones, and it will be impossible to ever reach the same level, but having tested it for a few months now during cycling and running I must say the quality comes damn close and I really don’t miss my old wired (read messy and annoying) classic headphones anymore.
The Aftershokz Trekz Air produces a clear and quite dynamic and deep sound, probably also thanks to the Premium Pitch technology. Even when making phone calls, yes you can make and pick up calls using these bone conduction headphones, I could clearly understand the person at the other side of the line. The Bluetooth V5.0 ensures a stable connectivity at all times and the battery life is quite high. Last week I have continuously used it during a 7 hours bike trip and it was still working well.
What I like a lot too about these bone conduction headphones is the fact they are so light and have a very high wearing comfort. As if you are not wearing headphones at all. When shaking my head or running around, the headphones stay stable at all times. Besides they can be easily worn under a bike or ski helmet. I have tested both… even in winter times. Available in several colors.
Overall this is a top-level product which deserves a spot in the list of best bone conduction headphones on Amazon. Please feel free to also read our extensive AfterShokz Trekz Air review article or to check our AfterShokz Trekz Air vs AfterShokz Trekz Titanium blog.

Best bone conduction headphones on Amazon: the AfterShokz Trekz Titanium
The 2nd bone conduction headphones we would like to briefly discuss is the AfterShokz Trekz Titanium. The Trekz Air is namely the younger brother of these marvellous Bluetooth headphones which also deserves to be in the list of best bone conduction headphones on Amazon. Although a few grams heavier than the air, the AfterShokz Trekz Titanium is still a lightweight wireless stereo headphones only weighing 1.27 oz (36g). The control button parts on the side are a bit larger than the ones on the Trekz Air but they still offer an extreme high wearing comfort. I have used them various times for 5+ hour cycle trips, under my bike helmet, and they were never irritating.
For me, the AfterShokz Trekz Titanium was the first bone conduction headphones this name worthy. It was the first time I truly believed bone conduction was a technology of the present and of the future. If we see the rise and popularity of bone conduction devices, after the release of the Trekz Titanium, we can only conclude these headphones are a high-quality audio device. The Trekz Titanium has Bluetooth 4.1, which is lower than 5.0 with the Trekz Air. Nevertheless, so far I have never experienced connectivity issues as long as you stay in a 33 ft (10 m) range.
The quality of sound equals the quality of sound of the Trekz Air because the Trekz Titanium was also already equipped with Premium Pitch Technology. Besides the Titanium has all features and functionalities the Air also has.
So the difference with the Air is the weight, the frame which is bit stiffer and larger and the Bluetooth version.
Overall, and I have been using them extensively for one and a half year now, these bone conduction headphones are a reliable, safe and comfortable partner with a high-quality sound. They are ideal for outdoor activities…whether it is hiking, running, cycling or skiing. No doubt they belong in the list of best bone conduction headphones on Amazon. Available in several colors.

Best bone conduction headphones on Amazon: Vidonn F1
The next headphones we would like to put in the best bone conduction headphones on Amazon spotlight is the Vidonn F1. We have tested these headphones only for a few weeks now, so difficult to talk about the durability aspect, but overall these are more than decent compared to most other bone conduction headphones available on Amazon. Besides they are offered for a very sharp price.
We have been using them so far for a few cycle trips and for running and although being stiffer than the AfterShokz models the wearing comfort is excellent. It depends what you are looking for and what you are used to probably. The Vidonn F1 clamps more to your head while the AfterShokz models are a bit lighter and more floating. In both cases the wearing comfort is excellent though.
The quality of sound is a bit lower than with the Trekz Air and the Trekz Titanium. Especially the bass is less dynamic and less deep and we miss a storage bag to take the headphones on a trip. For the rest these bone conduction headphones can compete with the AfterShokz models. You can use them to listen to music but also to pick up calls and they are sweat and rain resistant.
Although the sound quality is less than on the AfterShokz models, it is still very decent and a big pro is of course the price. Besides we are big fans of the design and looks of these bone conduction headphones. Trend, good-looking and with a sporty spice look! Available in 3 colors: blue, yellow and black.
Overall these are good bone conduction headphones which should for sure be part of the best bone conduction headphones on Amazon list.

Low quality bone conduction headphones on Amazon: Others
When browsing through Amazon we have bumped into various bone conduction headphones which are cheap (cheap between brackets because most of them cost as much as the Vidonn F1) and low-quality copies of the previous models and brands we have discussed. The proof is the fact we have seen a lot of them being mass produced and then offered with different logos and brand names.
They even don’t come near the quality offered by for example Vidonn and AfterShokz and this is based on our personal testing of several of them. We have also found out there are different Chinese factories producing these headphones, so not one patented brand but just mass production. So always watch out and be sure you buy headphones with proper warranty and proper customer support. Some low-quality bone conduction headphones examples on Amazon we have tested:
Sold under different brand names such as Kimhee bone conduction headphones / Genso bone conduction headphones / Trcode bone conduction headphones / AIRPROV bone conduction headphones.
Sold under different brand names such as DA BENBEN bone conduction headphones / Shantan bone conduction headphones / Xintai bone conduction headphones
